BDO EUROPEAN SURVEY – COMBATTING THE CRISIS WITH BUSINESS RESILIENCE:
How European business leaders are responding to the implications of the global pandemic
This is BDO’s second 2020 European survey: Ensuring a leadership position in 2025 was published in February - before the COVID-19 crisis broke globally - and, with such unprecedented change occurring in a very short space of time, BDO set out to reengage with European business leaders to understand how their views have changed in the last 6 months. We interviewed 244 business leaders across eight different European countries during late May and early June 2020 and our interviews were focused on executives in Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Norway, Spain and the United Kingdom.
Our research explores the practical changes businesses plan to make in the short-term, so they can survive now and go on to succeed in the long-term – and has uncovered some results that are both encouraging and somewhat surprising. At this time of challenge and uncertainty, we trust that this Report provides practical insights about how European entities are building business resilience to mitigate the impact of the pandemic and secure a brighter future for their businesses.
