Accessibility of the website
An accessible website is a website allowing people with disabilities and the elderly to browse the site as efficiently and enjoyably as all other users. Approximately 20 to 25 percent of the population have difficulties using the internet and could benefit from more accessible online content, according to a study conducted in 2003 by Microsoft.
BDO believes in, and acts to promote, equal opportunities on cyberspace for people with various disabilities and for people who use assistive technology when using a computer.
Information about the website's accessibility
- This website is compliant with the requirements of the Equal Rights for People with Disabilities (Accessibility Adaptations of a Service) Regulations, 5773-2013.
- The accessibility adaptations were made pursuant to the recommendations of the Israeli standard (IS 5568) for Accessibility of Online Content at AA level and the international WCAG2.0 document.
- The tests were reviewed for the highest compatibility with the Firefox browser.
- The website provides a semantic structure for assistive technologies and support of the customary pattern of use for operating using a keyboard's arrow, Enter and Esc keys for exiting menus and windows.
- Adjusted for viewing on the common browsers and for use on the mobile phone.
- To enjoy an optimal browsing experience using a screen reader software, we recommend using the most current NVDA software.
